
Sweets have always been my thing; when I was just 4 years old, I would watch reruns of Baking with Julia on my family’s desktop computer. When I was 7, I insisted on an Easy-Bake Oven for my birthday. And when I was 10, I attempted (with debatable success) my first vegan cheesecake. Throughout my SW FL childhood, my favorite moments were always in the kitchen, cooking or baking with my family.
A decade or so later, I found myself at Johnson & Wales University, earning my B.S. in Baking & Pastry Arts and Business Studies. Thanks to this degree, I’ve honed my professional skills in classic pastry, cakes, ice cream, viennoiserie, and chocolate, to name a few mediums. My favorite medium, though, continues to be cake: it’s versatile, joy-inducing, and a staple for any party. And I love any treat that can bring people together!
Over the years, I’ve been honored to publish a cookbook, For The Love Of Cooking, bake with the White House Pastry Shop, and keep m+m Cakes running strong. These days, I love to highlight quality ingredients and botanical flavor profiles in my creations. Every custom bake I make, though, is a bit of my heart and joy that I am so jazzed to share with others… and, I hope, you!
